Glen made me feel very welcome and at home from the moment I walked
in. He uses a relaxed and open teaching style which is both warm
and professional at the same time.
Glen takes time to explain steps and routines clearly and where
appropriate adds flavour to the class with a well-timed tip on how
to improve posture or technique. He also has a delightful sense of
humour.
There's always a strong sense of feeling welcome and I feel part of
a community of people who simply love to dance. I always leave
Humphreys feeling relaxed and happy.

"I was 10 the first time I went along with a friend to a
beginner children's class at Humphreys Dance Studio. As luck would
have it, I had managed by pure chance to walk into the top studio

Debbie-Anne Tierney (Co-Principal) has an amazing gift with
children and is the reason why I fell in love with dance. It did
not matter whether you were naturally gifted or had two left feet,
Debbie-Anne brought out the best in everyone just the same.

towards as a dancer and also as a person. Along with her husband

A heart felt thank you to the staff at Humphrey's Dance Studio for making our work function so memorable.
The studio was decorated beautifully and the tables set so very nice. We had the whole place to ourselves for our xmas dinner dance.
There was two amazing floorshows. And then after dinner Mitch (our most excellent DJ) took us through some simple and fun dances
to get everyone up. The atmosphere was relaxed, people could talk and mingle and the music set the scene.
Special thank you to Jacky Shue for facilitating the whole event. And thanks to Mitch and Craig for getting up some of the girls for a dance.
They made the non dancers feel comfortable and everyone had a wonderful time. Regards Judy Boer.

"Humphrey's is the perfect place to start dancing. After years of thinking about dancing one day I finally did it and I picked the perfect place! Humphrey's staff are all so helpful and direct myself, my partner and his sister into the perfect beginners class where they took us through the steps nice and slow. After the first session we were all hooked! We have now gone on to complete a year of dancing and got our Bronze medals in Latin. Next year we hope to get another few medals under our belt! We don't like breaks between our dancing because we enjoy it so much but all the staff and class mates have become our friends. We intend to be at Humphrey's as long as we can I think we'd only stop coming is we moved countries."

Hi Glen,
Just a little feedback from my lesson with you Thursday.
I danced with [my partner] last night ...... and he was blown away
at how different I felt. He said he felt unrestricted and had no
pressure on his arms and shoulders, etc. I felt like I had gone
walking in the park!! I wasn't tired and my back and neck didn't
hurt. Most of all the dancing felt just effortless and
beautiful.(the most I have enjoyed a dance in my life)
I know you have taught many amazing talented dancers but it must
feel good to hear that you have opened up a new world for somebody
in just 30 minutes!!!!

I had a really good time on Sunday morning watching the other students and performing my own exam routines...
You have to receive a lot of the credit for how comfortable I was during the modern routine. You were as light as that proverbial feather. I was not at all surprised of course but it was still delightful gliding through those routines without any hitches to speak of....

How are you?
Thanks for our last dance lesson, we had nothing but loads of
comments about how fantastic, beautiful etc it was... People said
they have never seen a wedding dance like that before and the song
was perfect. It was soo good. Except the band cancelled
on us the day before the wedding so we were lucky get another band,
but we had to have the song played on CD.
I have attached a picture of our dance (its a bit dark), a picture
of me, a picture of Jade and a picture of us in the church.
Once again, thanks soo much for your lessons and I am sure I will
be back one day to get back into dancing.
